KimYe’s Baby North Gets Baptized at One of the World’s Oldest Churches

After Hollywood royalty Kim, Kanye and baby North West left the reality TV star’s homeland Armenia, the family made their way to Jerusalem. It was reported that the one reason they are there is to get Nori baptized.

Just like their other family trips, this was no ordinary holiday. The Wests and Kim’s sister Khloe took a private jet to take them first to Armenia. There, they were able to have a cultural experience – something that Nori should have because of her roots.

The popularity of the Armenian beauty has gripped its capital. Hordes of followers waited outside the luxury hotel they were staying to get a glimpse of the reality star. As they were lunching at an upmarket restaurant, a narrow street was blocked as fans gathered outside.

The Wests then toured the ancestral homeland and met with fans and dignitaries. In fact, the famous reality stars sat down with Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan as they commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. Kim and sister Khloe posed in front of the statue of the Mother of Armenia and paid respects.

Meanwhile, Kanye West performed a free concert on the famous Swan Lake on their last night in Armenia. At one point, West can be seen as if he was walking on water as he tried to get closer to fans. Kim tweeted the event saying, “Such an exciting crazy night! So happy I got to rock out with everyone in Armenia on our last night here!!!! #EpicNight #ArmenianPride

Then on April 13, they headed to Jerusalem. According to local news, North West, the only daughter of Kim and Kanye, was baptized at St. James Cathedral in the Old City of Jerusalem. Photos of Kim’s entourage can be seen walking the church grounds accompanied by several guards.

A source close to the family told People magazine, “They flew [into Jerusalem] especially for [for the baptism]… They knew it was close to Armenia and it was always a dream to come to Jerusalem. There’s an Armenian quarter and they did it at this old beautiful church. It was epic. So beautiful.”
